What is server-icon.png?
The server-icon.png is the square icon shown next to your server name in the Minecraft multiplayer list and in ping results. It must be exactly 64×64 pixels in PNG format (transparency supported) and placed in the server main folder, the one containing server.properties.
How to install it
- Download the generated file (already named
server-icon.png). - Upload it to the root of your server, replacing any existing icon.
- Restart the server or, on recent Paper/Spigot builds, the icon reloads automatically on the next ping.
Tips for an effective icon
- Use a simple logo: tiny details disappear at 64×64.
- High contrast and saturated colors: the icon must pop in the server list.
- Avoid tiny text: at most 2-3 large letters.
- PNG transparency works: use it for non-square shapes.
